If there’s an anthem for my retirement days, it just might be Sheryl Crow’s All I Wanna Do. None of us knows how many days remain for us. No one is even guaranteed the next moment. Like that man in the song says, “All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die.”
Fun is different for everyone. Fun for me is sharing old and new places, adventures, people that inhabit various episodes of my life story as well as tech tools and inspirations that enable story. How wonderful it is to no longer be asking, “Are we having fun yet?”
What’s fun for you? Are you doing it?
Hi, Lynn! Thanks for the reminder to make time for fun. I teach 7th grade, and it’s April Fool’s Day. Yes, we will have fun. I wonder, should I announce a surprise exam?
Sometimes what’s fun for the teacher isn’t fun for the students. 🙂
Yes. Then say, “April Fools!” I love your sense of humor!
I am having this April – I have to the blog challenge and Camp NaNoWriMo are the most fun a writer could possibly have outside of her own head 😉 http://www.linzebrandon.blogspot.com
Glad you guys mentioned these!!!
What a great philosophy you have! I love it. Fun for me at the moment is learning to kayak!!
You are brave! Thanks for visiting Storydame!
After I finish reading your posts I am off to the used clothes store. My toddler grand daughter is staying over night tonight and she loves dressing up. Then tomorrow night it is my grandson who comes for a movie night — his pick, of course. Yes, I am having fun.
